Elephants and Rhinos…

In addition to sessions for dogs, cats, horses, birds, a rabbit and a bee hive, I’ve also helped rhinos and elephants in Kenya, East Africa. For more information about the extraordinary work that Dr. Dame Daphne Sheldrick and her staff are doing to rescue and rehabilitate baby elephants and rhinos, log onto her website at www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org.

Lions and Cheetahs, too…

As assistant to Joy Adamson, the author of the international best-seller, Born Free, part of my job in Kenya involved caring for her cheetah, Pippa, whom Joy was rehabilitating back into the wild.  George Adamson and all his lions, especially Ugas who played the role of the man-eater in the film of Born Free, became my special friends, too. I also assisted the veterinarians, Drs. Sue and Tony Harthoorn, while I stayed at their home in Nairobi, Kenya, when they made house calls to a sick kudu, a pygmy hippo, a very old lion and a young traumatized cheetah cub.

Back home in California…

In Hollywood, I was production secretary on an award-winning documentary called The African Elephant, one of the first films that used the new Panavision filming technique.
I wrote about my Kenya experiences in a book called A Soul’s Safari. I’ve also written articles for magazines like Southwest Art, Living Bird, and Farm & Ranch Living.
I was executive secretary to major motion picture talent agents with clients like Ronald Reagan, Clark Gable, Julie Andrews, Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart and Shirley MacLaine. With Gregory Peck’s secretary I co-founded an organization that is known today as Women in Film.

Not an Animal Communicator…

I am not an animal communicator, although, when appropriate and/or necessary, I enjoy collaborating with people who are animal communicators.

But…

I’m an original member of the Repatterning Practitioners Association. As a long-time resident of Sedona, Arizona, I feel blessed to be able to do Animal Repatterning sessions in such a magnificent environment.
